Strengths: light, comfortable, not bulkyBottom Line: get pads. comfortable protection and they stary in place. easy on and off. i was riding for 4 hours the other day...climbs, downhills...forgot i even had them on until i went into the revine...then i'm glad i had them on. no sliding, stayed in place. very easy to pedal with. that was a big plus for me. the top strap looks flimsy 'cause it's skinnier that the other 2 straps, but thats so it doesn't cause chaffing behind the knee. the straps are sturdy and hold the pads on tight. jsut wish they were on sale :(

Strengths: Cool looking, lite weight, they have a hard shell pad that covers the top of the knee which I think is crucial for a good knee/shin pad, The hingeing system works good, comfy materialWeaknesses: Not enough coverage, you really need a sleeve of some sort to hold them in place well, and they still slip down sometimes.Bottom Line: They are great pads if you are entering a fashion show or don't ride that much. They def need a sock or sleeve over the top to hold them in place and they still slip down after an hour or so of hard riding. They have comfy material, have good ventilation and are lite wieght (you can hardly tell they're on when riding). The things that killed this pad for me were the thin little straps that just look flimsy and strechy, the need for a sleeve (which is a pain in the but to put on and off all the time) and the fact that they slip down after alittle while. I fell on my knees going fairly slow at diablo with these pads on and my knees were still scratched up. The search for the ultimate knee/shin pad continues, so far the Fox launch has come the closest
