    Strengths:    Flexible, comfortable, invisible under baggy pants. They offer some protection for falls.

    Weaknesses:    Padding is thin, overall feels a little flimsy.

    Bottom Line:   
    They cut down the pain and damage on hip and butt falls, but do not completely protect you from harm. A good fall will still be comperably painful to a fall without the pad, but the bruise will be smaller.

    If you are a skinny-as-hell sob like myself it might just be what you need to protect them damned hips from getting butchered on nasty falls.
