Bright Diversity! I use it as a secondary light on my helmet in conjuction with the Commuter 4 on my bar (recomended that way). This setup Rocks for commutes (18 miles daily) and nightriding in the Desert. Be seen and see all on the road! I have cars give me lots of room and some even pull over. Not heavy on helmet either, and batt life is great. I also use for camping (car and backpacking) and night sking too. I also used during a recovery operation in Elephant Canyon in the Needles District of Canyonlands NP UT a month ago. With 8 park Rangers leading the operation, my light still flooded the Canyon in the AM, while the rangers lights...well we're all glad it was merely lights that died. Very well built and tuff!

It could cost less. Also note the batts need periodic charging when not in use for long periods of time (winter)or else they may fully discharge. This may not a problem though because you should have lots of uses for them. Also check before or during purchase as it may have discharged on shelf, I returned 2 before I got a winner. Thanks REI.

Bright wide beam 540 lumen,very good electronics that monitor output,heat,and battery run and charging time.Good battery life,3+ hours on high.Very good customer service. Good product for the money.

Found beam pattern a little to diversified.No hot spot,no perimeter halo,didn't find it had enough range.Took a little time to get used to the light pattern.Have alway's been picky, may be good enough for many as a primary light but for me this light will rock as a helmet light.

I don't know if the spottier beam pattern my riding group uses with there Niterider products is influencing my opinion on the Enduro 8 single,but I've decided this light will be a great helmet light with it's bright 540 lumen's and wide beam pattern.I've just purchased a Cygolite Triden X extra for my handle bar as the reviews seem to indicate a very bright light with a further beam pattern,haven't received yet.Overall,for the money you can't go wrong with this product,NiteFlux top two products which were sold out(Max Extreme,1350 lumen's)been one of them would have been a very good choice as a primary light also.Used as a helmet light i don't think there is much out there that comes close to the Eduro 8's bright wide beam pattern and within a true 15 meters, i meen bright!!I would recomend this product strongly as a helmet light.
