Strength:

Very bright, 5 hour (on full brightness) battery, great mounting for battery and headlamp, lots of brightness settings, fast charge time, comes with helmut mount, water resistant, and shock resistant.

Weakness:

None so far.

I highly recommend this product. I had a couple questions about my light, so I called Cygolight in California and the first person that picked up the phone answered all of my questions. Great light, and great company!

Strength:

Bright, light, long lasting battery, robust build.

Weakness:

rubber padding that protect the bike from getting scratched wears easily

It has been a great product. robust and durable. i had several crashes.. and light still works perfectly fine.
my friends have the niterider.. and they constantly have problems attaching the cable to the battery and turning the light on. Cygo lite has been no problem.

the Tridenx has 600 lumens.. very bright!!. I had several people ask me about the lite. $/lumen, i think cygolite beats the other brands. i deceided to with the extra long lasting battery... worth every penny.

Recently i had some problems with the cable. I contacted the manufacturer, eventhough it was past the 1 year warranty, they fixed the problem at no charge. i sent the battery by mail and within 1 week i had it back with me.
Great customer service!

I'll highly recommend this product.

Strength:

Bright, white light, small battery with long life. LED's are longer lasting and more durable than bulbs, or halogens.

Weakness:

None that I've found other than the replacement batteries are a little pricey, $150.00.

I bought two of these, one for the bike and another for helmet mount. Several reviewers mentioned the lack of a center spot. You can send the light back to the manufacturer and have them replace the stock lens which is a narrow-wide-narrow pattern, with a narrow-narrow-narrow lens configuration. The only thing they charge to do this is the return shipping, which for me was $8.00. I had this done to my helmet light and liked it so much I just sent in the bike light for a similar conversion. You might consider this for improved visibility. I think the newer models now come like this though.

Strength:

easy to mount, easy to charge, operation of the 4 modes is easy. Good wide beam spread- this light is bright enough for path riding

Weakness:

probably lacking depth on the high mode, the difference between high and medium high is more width

for the price i paid- and for the size ( the battery is large but its a trade off) for the overall brightness for what i need, i am very happy. Quality LED and overall a solid light.

Strength:

Bright, nice beam pattern (fairly wide and even), small and very light, nice design - just plain cool to look at.

Weakness:

Buttons could be bigger for quick on-the-fly changes and would like more warning before battery is out.

Great light, great value. Perfect combo for fast trails is this on the bars (wide, bright pattern) and spot on the helmet.

Lacks a spot

Its a very bright LED. I have looked at many different lights and I have also used a few others. This light has the highest Lumen output for the lowest price.

On the trail the light has a very wide beam, it is more of a flood. The light seams to have two bright spots on the outside but lacks a little in the middle at about 25 yards. I have compensated with a helmet mounted spot light to fill that middle gap.

On the road the light is bright. Cars will definitely see you. It lights up the road side to side and gives plenty of light for about 25 yards.

The battery is suggested to last at 5 hours on high but it is more like 4.5 hours. Still plenty of length for a very small battery. I wish the cable was longer so it would fit behind my seat post.

Overall, this is a good light. It is very bright but as the pictures on Cygolite's website indicate, it lacks a spot that HID's give. The light is wider than a HID, but does not have the depth of an HID. But it is a LED so it will last forever and will not break. I have crashed many times and the light seems to hold up well.

I would defiantly suggest this light to someone else just not at retail cost. By if you looking for a bright LED but don't expect an HID.
