Jacket not only has taped seams, the zippers are laminated with a polyurethane layer as well. This prevents moisture from penetrating the jacket through the full-length front zipper. Of course, watertight seams and zips would be useless without the ElkeM.'s fabric possessing waterproof properties itself.Maloja uses its 2.5 layer Sympatex fabric, a water- and wind-proof, durable, and breathable laminate that's incredibly lightweight for easy packing. To ensure optimum breathability, Maloja supplies the ElkeM. with a covered mesh vent on the back. The sleeves sport adjustable cuffs and they are articulated. This, along with an extended rear hem, provides full coverage from adverse weather when in the riding position.If more coverage is needed, a removable hood will keep you nice and dry.
