Strength:

Cheap, reliable, nice looking

Weakness:

Uncomfortable, heavy, the head strap easily comes off. Internal padding comes off after 6 month of riding

Much better than those United Helmet where I come from. Just a few bucks added and you can have this helmet. Although The padding that comes off can be quite uncomfortable. But you got what you paid for

Strength:

Price, comfort, great protection, looks and quality.

Weakness:

None

Excellent protection good fit, light, visor and nice ventilation. Plus the helmet looks good.

Took a very hard head-first fall on pavement. People a block away heard the crack when the helmet hit the ground. My wife thought I was dead. I have no doubt this helmet saved me from serious injury and possibly death. Other than some bad road rash and bruises my head was intact. Surprisingly the only damage to the helmet was some scraping.

Replaced the helmet with another Bravo XC. Definitely recommend.

Strength:

Great Fit, good venting

Weakness:

Clip in visor may not last beyond first stack, we'll see... Nothing some velcro wont fix.

Great helmet, best fit found after trying every lid in every shop in Hamilton. Good venting. Not too heavy. Great for a mid-range helmet.

Umm... looks kind of tuff (big)

Weakness:

Turn lock strap for the back of your head is deceptively useless and dangerous

The Turn Lock (I think that's what they call it; the dial that tightens the strap that cups the back of your skull) mechanism has SOFT plastic teeth that are held in place by a little plastic rod. I literaly pulled the thing out of the box, put it on my head, and turned the knob to the tightness that I have used on every other helmet I have every used with this type of strap (3, but they all had a ratchet that was like the teeth on a cable tie), when the geared teeth sheared off. If I had gotten in a typical (for me) crash, the teeth most likely would have sheared, letting the helmet slip back and form a nice little handle for the ground to snap my neck with. I got this helmet with out trying it on. I thought Sixsixone was most likely a good company, and would have a good product. I never will make this mistake again.

Strength:

Price, 24 cooling vents, adjustable (via velcro) pads on front, side and rear, light weight, comfort.

Weakness:

None that I can see. If I had to complain about something I would say the visor isn't long enough, but I just wear sunglasses so its really a non-issue.

I wore this helmet for the first time today on a 11 mile mixed road/dirt ride. I thought it would drive me up the wall at first. I put it on before I unloaded my bike and by the time my bike was out of the truck, I didn't even realize I had an helmet on until I went to put my sunglasses on and caught the strap. Very comfortable once adjusted. Fits extremely well. Keeps my head very cool. I'm very pleased with the helmet. I am using an '05 model by the way.

Strength:

pretty light

Weakness:

not comfortable compared to other helmets
it has a really weak and cheap rear ajustable strap.
i did not fit my head right.
i would not reccommend to any one.
definately not worth $50.
i returned it after wearing only a few minutes.
bad looks also

i would not recommend buying this helmet
not worth it for the price.
(i would definately recommend the giro monza. got it for $50 on sale at nashbar)

if you have a different shaped head it might fit alright.
but even if it does fit it is not durable.

Weight, vents and price

Weakness:

It's more of my lumpy head is the weakness.

For the money it's awesome. The venting is great and the helmet I could wear for hours without so much as a second thought.

Weakness:

Maybe the fit system....not so sure though...may lack a lil durability

For the money...you can't beat it! Not the most comfortable out there, but it is an incredible value. The fit is customizable and ensures that your lid doesn't going rolling along without you. I have no doubt that this one will stay on when I come close to dying.

Strength:

Light weight, good protection

Weakness:

Fit was a little small for my head (Size XL helmet), base of rear strap caused a little discomfort if helmet was on too tight.

I bought this helmet to replace my aging Trek lid. It fit a little snug, especially at the back, where the plastic adjustable section connects to the helmet. I got used to it after the first couple rides, and it got to the point where it fit just about right. Its light weight, and vents well (so well that my head was COLD when riding early this spring). It also protects well, as my head can attest to after crashing yesterday.
The only downside I see to it is that little plastic piece in the back that would put pressure on my head if the helmet wasn't slightly loose
I'm now in the market for a new helmet, and I will definitely consider another 661 helmet.
