Durable: Waterproof, dustproof, shockproof. Just like my Casio G-Shock.
Accurate: I also use it for Geocaching and trail mapping.
Free Maps: Many people don't know that you don't have to buy maps from Garmin. There are many free ones online.
Batteries: Uses AA. Alkalines or rechargeables.
HRM: Mates with the Garmin strap.
Touchscreen interface: Navigation is easy once you get used to it.
Profiles: Allows you to have various setups for diferent activities.

None that I can think of.

I would recommend this GPS for biking. I have used it for 18 months for biking and Geocaching (on my bike). The Garmin bike mount works well; I use a lanyard but have not needed it yet.

The Garmin Edge products are their bike specific products but they use an internal battery that you have to keep charged. The Oregon uses AA batteries. If they go dead while you are on an epic ride you can just swap them out.

I have made some of my own maps both custom and img. They load right into the Oregon and work great.

I give the Oregon 450 4 chilies for value because it is a little expensive but still a great product that I have enjoyed both on and off the bike.
