Strengths: Light, half the price of pedals of similar weight, SPD compatible, wide range of spring tension... from effortless release to death-grip, mud clearance, sleek/minimalist looks.Weaknesses: Back side of pedal is not ramped like Shimano offerings so cleat can get caught on the backside of pedal upon entry.Bottom Line: Overall this is a good design.
If you're looking for a light pedal and you want an SPD style/SPD compatible pedal, this is it. The steel axle is lighter than most any SPD pedal out there... and the Ti axle version is impressively light. Only Speedplay and Crank Bros can boast a pedal that's lighter than Xpedo... and they are far more fragile and leagues more expensive.
It'd be perfect if it had a ramp on the backside like most SPD offerings to help with entry... might add a few grams but would be worth it. That's really the only complaint I can come up with.
I'm astounded that I don't see more of these @ races or on the trail.

Strengths: Light, great mud clearance, eye catchingWeaknesses: Not a weakness, but when you hit a rock hard you have to stop and tighten the screw a little bitBottom Line: Nice good looking pedals, very light and specially for our weather: good mud clearance. XTRs catch a lot of mud specially when the soil has clay...
There pedals are 275g, 40g lighter than the XTRs.
