Strengths:    Grippy, strong, good looking, good size for wider feet.

Weaknesses:    Heavy, bearings aren't that good, mud sticks to them like glue, grinds up the bottom of your shoes, will turn your exposed flesh into ground beef if you slip off of them.

Bottom Line:
After the OEM cheapo platic things that came with my bike disintegrated after about 2 weeks, I went online and found these. With pricepoint.com I found that they were a very good value (50% of MSRP!). They are extremely grippy. Water, mud, fecal matter, doesn't make a difference. Getting mud and such off requires several different screwdrivers and small sharp tools though, and all that grip comes at a price to your shoes and shins.

I've banged these against rocks, roots, and so far at least, there's been no damage other than some scratches in the paint.

Basically, if you've got 40 bucks and the need for some strong, grippy platforms, you can't do much better. However if you need something that's light, sexy, and won't bang up your shins, look elsewhere.
