Strengths:    Thin pedals
grippy pins
low weight
concave shape

Weaknesses:    Maybe too weak for dh'ing
Need to use additional set of pedal washers

Bottom Line:
Was in the ROC previous week, purchased these at 885NTD (<30USD). Put them on my bmx first, but they were too grippy even with skate shoes for riding street & skate parks. So, I threw them on my 26er and rode them at the local jump spot, they worked great. Rode them on singletrack and had no problems. Had to use in an additional set of pedal washers since they were made for bmx cranks or else they are too close to mtb type crankarms.

However, I don't think I would use these on my DH bike. The construction may not stand up to such abuses especially, due to pedals strikes at full speed on rocky dh specific trails. Not bad for the price, which were cheaper than my trusty, backup Wellgo MG-1s, and a LOT cheaper than my podium ones.

My new 69 SS.

I was planning on building a 29er SS. I picked up a nice Easton wheelset, On-one carbon forks, and a frame from E-bay auction for a Gunnar Ruffian. I have a 29er Rock hound and LOVE it. Frame arrived and was a 26er. Blast! It was my fault. Oh well. So i was gonna wait for another auction for a 29 ... Read More »

Prophet 4x 650b or 69?

So I have had a Prophet 4x frame hanging in my bike room for a few years now. Kinda, trying to sell it, but not really because I do like the frame, but it is a bit redundant in my current quiver. I've been toying with building up a slack HT 29'er (Chromag Surface of Root Down) for XC Epics, but ... Read More »

BCT north of HWY 69 open for business!

They also installed route marker signs and built cairns to shwo the way. The single track extends about 9 miles north of the hwy, then it's another ... Read More »
