The Time Z Strong Pedals deliver a sturdy platform and mud-shedding design that not only excels in off road conditions but also allow you to roll the mtb to the corner store in flip-flops when it's time to restock the beer fridge.
Strengths: Easy in and out, low maintenance, durable.
Weaknesses: Heavier than non platform pedals.
Bottom Line:
I originally bought these off of chainlove a year ago to give clipless pedals a try and I haven't looked back. The platforms are great for those times you need to pedal but can't quite get clipped in and mud and dirt arn't a problem as the ATAC system allows you to clear and clip-in easily. They also feel like they have a bit better float and are easier to get in and out of than the Shimano pedals I tried. I've bashed them on quite a few rocks and roots and they're still going strong for me so durability isn't an issue. I've been very happy with my purchase and they're a great value if you can get them on sale.
