$30.00 | | Purchased At: | eBay / markanthonycycles | | Strengths: | Hell, you could ride this with moccasins and it'd feel like they clip in. Incredible. | | Weaknesses: | Impossible to adjust your footing while riding. Pins are _SO_ grippy that you have to pull your foot clear off the pedal to adjust. I have to disagree on weight, these seem noticeably heavier than the platforms I pulled off to replace. Bearings seem a little tight, but that could be new-ness. | | Similar Products Used: | Stock platforms on Tassajara | | Bike Setup: | Gary Fischer Tassajara 2005 | | Bottom Line: | If you -can- slip off these, don't. Pins are really just machine screws with no thread at the last few mm's, which mean you could easily install a set of not-as-hazardous pins for terrain that you will slip off pedals more frequently on. They look mean, too. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$25.00 | | Purchased At: | Sea Otter Classic Expo | | Strengths: | Really grippy, replaceabe pins | | Weaknesses: | none, to simple for error | | Similar Products Used: | rat traps, shimano clipless, wellgo, etc | | Bike Setup: | Marin East Peak (just ordered a SGS pro) | | Bottom Line: | If you like platform pedals and you do downhill these will keep you glued. Almost feels like clipless if you have skate style shoe grip. Fairly light weight, but for downhill who cares? Has potentially to kill shins with 12 mm pins | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$35.00 | | Purchased At: | teamplanetx.com | | Strengths: | These pedals grip like glue. The color selection is great. They will not break. The pins are nice and long and grippy. | | Weaknesses: | Not really a weakness, but the pins are long and can really rip you up. | | Bike Setup: | Planet X compo, hossenfeller crank, fox vanilla 100 RL, Michellin Hot S, Hope mini disc brakes, Planet X seat and post, On One Reetard wheel, Hope bulb hub. | | Bottom Line: | These pedals kick *ss, and will keep you on your bike. They may hurt when you slip off, but that just teaches you to not slip off (you shouldn't be doing that). Everyone should have a pair! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | webcyclery.com | | Strengths: | Pins are super grippy, pedal looks pretty damn swank on my bike, biggish spindle which hasn't bent yet (I can break just about any pedal, but these haven't yet) and generally rock... | | Weaknesses: | pins will rip your shins bad but easily remedied by wearing some armor | | Similar Products Used: | flatboys, zuzu | | Bike Setup: | Planet X Jack Flash, Z1 MCR, 24" BMF wheels, Magura Louise brakes, Race Face northshore XS cranks, etc, etc | | Bottom Line: | These pedals are among the grippiest damn flats you can buy. These are the dogs bollocks. Absolutly crazy. Great for trials, stunts, urban, and otherwise goofy stuff. These pedals are reasonably light, burly as hell, and have replaceable and very grippy pins.
