Strengths:
loads of grip. lots of pins, and good screw shaped pins that really hold. no issues in the 4 days of riding I used it.
Weaknesses:
too big - too wide - too thick. my bike has a low bb as it is and these pedals would just hit too much shiat.
Similar Products Used:
a-frame (though they are smaller and thinner) and many others
Bike Setup:
Canfield F1
Bottom Line:
I could see using these on a bike that had high bb and if you don't mind pretty thick, bmx like, pedals. they sure would be just fine for hardcore dh. in fact w/ my five10s they were almost too much grip.

I have had these pedals for 3 years now and they have out lasted all the bikes I have owned. I raced downhill, dual slalom and 4x, as well as 2 trials events on these and I can't kill them! I destroyed 3 sets of cranks with these pedals(Shim XTR/Crap, Raceface Prodigy DH, Truvativ Holzfeller) And still they won't die! I've replaced all the pins except for one, but never even repacked the bearings on these. Every time I think about buying new pedals I just go for a ride and it reminds me that I don't need them. Maybe I never will?

these guys grip so well I've given up my eggbeaters. the staility and non-locked in feel makes me wonder why anyone not racing would use clipless. BUT, after only 6 months a dust cap was AOL and the bearings on the right pedal were worn out. this comes after less than 200 miles of riding the neighborhood roads at a 2 mph crawl with my fat dog, a 35 mile ride into Denali Park on an excellent dirt road and one 38 mile ride on Ressurrection Trail. These where sent to ProNet for warrenty repair. I was told this was not covered by the warrenty. To their credit ProNet repaired them- no charge. Thanks Clint. All within a week. With that kind of service you will keep customers buying your products year after year. BUT, if the bearings go out in 6 months I do believe I'll look elsewhere. Thanks again

These pedals are absolutely worth the money. I rode BMX as a kid and after 15+ years of not doing much riding of any kind, started MTB'ing about a year ago. I have resisted the whole cleat thing--that's just not natural. But with the amazing grip of these pedals, my feet never slip when it's important. I've gotten some good scratches on the backs of my calves from these, but that due to my own stupidity and is no fault of the pedals.

Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:
litespeed obed setup for trials
Bottom Line:
these pedals are the best platforms i've yet tried. the only thing is that if you ride trials with these pedals and you're the type of trials rider that uses the pedals to climb onto stuff, then you'll surely destroy the pins very quickly (i myself never use the pedal for that purpose, so my pedals are ok). if you don't land on the pedals like some riders do, or if you just ride xc, dh, bmx or whatever, then you'll be fine with these. the large platform is very comfortable, too. also, if you're prone to smacking your shins on the pedals, get some shinguards b/c the pins are quite sharp. btw, these pedals are internally virtually identical to the easton ones, and to the atomic flatboy pedals they are virtually identical both inside and out. so... get whichever pedal is cheapest, they're all pretty much the same thing.

NICE pedals Seeing as i hate Clipless (deathtrap) pedals, and i ride REALLY hard, I wanted a platform pedal that would stand up to the test, i was looking at two in general The Kore platform, and the Easton Cully Platform. I decided to go with kore because it was a new product, and i like to be on the cutting edge of products. These are the best pedals i have tried yet, they grip to anything, i suggest to get a pair of vans to use with these pedals, the are so great, anyone looking for a platform pedal this is definatley the one to get! After nearly killing myself two times with the stock CODA clipless pedals I searched for a pedal with a trap. I found a cheap pair (not just inexpensive at $16.00, but shoddy) at the local JAX bike shop but my heel kept banging into the pedal arm. I bought these pedals based on recommendations from this forum and let me tell you... these things ROCK! My feet stick to the pedals (as if they were attached to clipless) and they are wide so that my fat feet fit! I can bail at anytime so I don't think about death anymore. These pedals are hard to find and are pricey -- but are worth every dime.

Since I don't like clipless, finding the right platform pedals are of paramount importance to me. After many tries, I bought these. They are by far the most superior BMX style I have found yet. If you wear flat soled shoes, like Vans or Sketchers, your feet will stick to these very good. I can torque down and hammer like crazy, and still have safety when riding in traffic. Great pedal. Too bad they cost so much, but I didn't have a problem becaue they do exactly what I want them to. I haven't dumped my bike yet since I bought these, or had them along time, so I can't say anything about the long term longetivity of them, but great so far... Kore has a great rep. for quality (My Kore stem has been perfect for 2 years now)
