from Cedar Rapids Date Reviewed: August 8, 2011 Strengths: cheap Weaknesses: Spring gets stuck OPEN. Left pedal was defective right out of the box. First ride on these, and I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get clipped back in. Dangerous, I did a jump and my left foot actually came out of the pedal due to the spring not working and without twisting my foot to unclip. Bottom Line: Expand full review >>Favorite Trail: beverly Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month Price Paid: $30.00 Purchased At: online Similar Products Used: Candy SL - these were opposite, the left pedal on my Candy SL's (and the reason I bought the Candy X's) would not come unclipped easily enough, and would cause me to fall clipped in when I needed to get my left foot out (even with the shims) The right pedal worked great. The Candy SL's lasted less than 1 year before they were unbearable. Bike Setup: stumpjumper marathon 29

Spring may shift out of place and will need to be pushed back into the center to be able to engage the cleat (occurred after a few months worth of use).
