Strengths:    Lightweight

Weaknesses:    Break easily

Bottom Line:

First set broke in first week of use (titanium clip or 'wing' cracked). It took some encouragement but Tree Fort did replace with new set which lasted about one month. The whole pedal broke off the spindle. Single speed riders should probably look for something more durable. I am 185 lbs but there is no weight limit defined for Candy 2ti pedals.

Bottom Line:

Awesome AM pedal. Larger platform than the eggbeaters gives that added feeling of security when bombing down a 20mph rocky section on an open face cliff. Super-reliable company. Easy to clip in and out of...
If i had to sell my bike and keep 5 components, they would be:
1. FOX 36 TALAS RC2 fork
2. Chris King NoThreadSet
3. Crankbrothers Candy 2Ti pedals
4. FOX DHX AIR shock
5. Hayes Stroker Gram brakes

Strengths: Light, Durable, attractive, has a base plate.

Bottom Line:

Expensive, but I feel for the money this actually is one of the better eggbeater style peddles you can find for the money. Good pedals just aren't cheap and these work great.

Strengths:    Light, strong, looks good, easy disengage, rebuildable cartridge bearings, small platform is great for unclipped, technical climbs.

Weaknesses:    None, in the year I have owned them.

Bottom Line:

At 251 grams a pair....where can you find pedals that offer 20 degrees of float, and can eaily be used unclipped? I was going to buy the 198 gram Candy 4Ti- but realized at $250-$350.....they were NOT WORTH a measly 53 gram reduction! The Candy 2Ti is clearly more than enough pedal any non-sponsored XC rider needs.

Crank Brothers has the BEST Customer Service in the business. They ask very FEW questions, and get your product back to you in record time. They are great!

If I ever sell my bike- these pedals won't be included....they will be coming with me!!!
