Strengths:    TOUGH!! with the long peg version you might as well be wearing clipless

Weaknesses:    Black paint scratched of of it after a couple months. if you're a wussy you NEED shin guards. My legs are covered in scars already.

Bottom Line:
Buy these if you do anything from cross country to downhill.

Strengths:    Big, Beefy- loads of grip

Weaknesses:    Cheese grater on the shins- cnat ride without shin pads

Bottom Line:
Theese pedals have got x amount of grip. You do need to lift your foot off to re-position. However the pins kept on turning out and dissapearing mid trail. I did a huge jump at llandegla forest , wales- overshot the landing ramp and hit the bank on one side, as my pedal struck the soil (or rock- it all happened so fast), the my toe got trapped, the pedal sheared off the bike at the axel, crushing/ breaking my toe at the same time. Its all good fun, but 6 months later my toe is still mangled

The front is 20mm and the rear is a 135mmx10mm QR. I want to convert the rear axle from QR to 10mm bolt-on thru-axle. I have searched a ... Read More »

Bontrager Big Earl 20mm Hubs w/ 9mm Fork?

Looking at a set of Bontrager Big Earl wheels. The front has a 20mm through axle hub. Is there an adapter that exists that would allow me to use a standard 9mm QR fork with this hub? On another note - how are the Big Earl wheels? Would they be adequate for a 320# Clyde like myself? Mostly XC/ ... Read More »

Has anyone set these up tubeless? How? Success? Failure? I usually do gorilla tape tubeless with my non UST rims but these rims are fairly wide. Not sure if the tape will fill in the right amount or else I would have to try 20" schrader tubeless. Chime in Thanks!Read More »
