Strengths:    Very good traction, cage pattern, good price (20% off), not on every bike you see.

Weaknesses:    the only thing I noticed is that they were approx 1/2" wider then the Time Z's I was running. which was great for traction, but three times on my ride I hit a stump/rock/log with the outside of the pedal in a turn.

Bottom Line:
I've been riding clip-ins for over 25 yrs and wanted to give platforms a try again. The main reason for my switch was that as I age (49) I'm noticing that my testi's aren't as big, so I wanted something that I could ditch if I had to and last Saturday Ihad to. Haulin down our last single track I had to make a 90 degree turn, I was going to fast to make it so I grabbed the brakes putting to much brake on the front wheel sending me over the bars. I was able to get away from it and actually thought about how nasty it could have been if I were clipped in.
