SRAM X9 2x10 Front Derailleur

DESCRIPTION

SRAM's X9 components have always enjoyed a reputation for quality and affordability. And while 10-speed may be new to the group, it hasn't changed with regard to its performance to dollar ratio. This X9 2x10 High Clamp Front Derailleur is made specifically for 2x10 drivetrain systems as the shape and swing of the cage are dialed in for the fastest and most consistent shifts possible.Though it looks nearly identical to the 10-speed X0 derailleur, X9 is separated by its use of powder coated steel for the linkage parts as opposed to lighter aluminum as found on the X0 unit. Similarly, the cage is made of steel and is specifically designed to work in conjunction with SRAM's 2x10 cranksets and X-Glide chainrings. As such, it's made to handle up to a 15-tooth differential between the big and little rings. Its cage is shorter and narrower than a triple-specific changer. This is great news for those who fear clearance between their rear suspension and their front derailleur. The steel links that shape the swing of the derailleur cage have widely spaced pivots for awesome stiffness. This rigidity inherent in the parallelogram is part of what makes X9 front shifting so quick and efficient. The SRAM X0 2x10 High Clamp Front Derailleur is configured to work as either top or bottom pull and is available for 31.8mm and 34.9mm clamp diameters.
