Strengths:    Worked really well until it needed some tweaking, then really let me down due to terrible design.

Weaknesses:    The whole thing is made of soft plastic, so the metal bolt that keeps the shifter cable tensioned strips the first time you need to work on the unit as it screws into a soft plastic thread. Absolutely appalling design, even for something low in the product range.

    Bottom Line:
Fine if it comes on a bike as standard but be really careful if you have to undo the shifter cable for any reason. Do not under any circumstances by this to put on a bike.

Strengths:    one word...DURABILATY! This derailleur has put up with my wear and tear, 40mph wipe outs, and some un suspecting parked cars ;). It still shifts crisply and quietly after nearly 2000 miles.

Weaknesses:    not compatable w/ shimano rapid fire... damn gripshift...

    Bottom Line:
Lightweight, good looking, cheap, and longlasting. What more could you want? I have to switch to LX b/c I got rapidfire and well... it dosent work.(Im not happy)Stop looking at Shimano, SRAM is much better.
