Date Reviewed: January 31, 2009
Favorite Trail:Fort Custer
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $5.00
Purchased At:Dicks Sporting Good
Strengths:Well at first very nice. Smooth shifting, Fast shifting.
Weaknesses:Plastic...This product was not made for off road use. It Is very cheep and is made really for on road use only.
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Diamond Back Outlook
Bottom Line:Like everyone said get ready to replace it! Really when you get a bike that has it on it, replace it immediately. Its a hazard on the trail, and its no fun to have to walk your bike back to the starting stage.

Submitted by pabickwermert a Cross Country Rider from Henderson, KY, USA
Date Reviewed: July 20, 2008
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $300.00
Strengths:was smooth for the first month
Weaknesses:Deraileur exploded into three pieces while doing 35mph going downhill. I have a bike computer and yes, I was going 35 when it fell apart. It was not pretty. The gears are plastic, not metal.
Bike Setup:This deraileur came on my Mongoose XR200 that cost 300.00 when I bought it. Now it has come down to 200.00 but they still have the same deraileur on it. Be prepaired to change it within 3 months of riding.
Bottom Line:Toss the deraileur and get a different model or a different brand. It is not worth your safety to keep it.

Submitted by Tad a Weekend Warrior from Page, Az, USA
Date Reviewed: November 8, 2007
Favorite Trail:rimview trail
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:AZ Bikes in Flagstaff
Strengths:really quiet at first, smooth shifting at first too.
Weaknesses:chain bends the cage and hops out of it. Really bad noisy shifting when slightly sandy.Chain keeps hopping to the side of the bottom tension pulley because it's bent.
Bike Setup:GT Aggressor
Bottom Line:If this derailleur came on your bike be prepare to replace it with something better. It came stock on my bike which I have had less than a month, so this shouldn't have happened so soon. I am going to try to bend everything back to normal. I'm giving it 2 flaming things because it was quiet and smooth when it worked.
