Strengths: perfect shiftingWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: When used with the SLX 22-36T crankset, you get perfect shifting that is amazingly tolerant. I'm switching the rear end of the bike over the Sram, but the crankset and FD are staying Shimano as the front derailleur is specifically machined for 22-36. I might weight-weenie out the rest of my bike, but I'm keeping the crank and FD - they are superb.

Strengths: Light weight, smooth shifting, great clearance.Weaknesses: None so far. It's a front derailleur, so how bad could it be?Bottom Line: I've used more front derailleur variations than I care to remember. Whether it was top swing, bottom swing, top pull, bottom pull, e-type, whatever. This is the first time I've actually been excited about a front derailleur. I've been running 22/32/bash setups for a few years now and have grown accustom to it. When I installed the new SLX crankset (with a 22/36/bash setup), I had a hard time adjusting the “normal” front derailleur. The SRAM X-Gen was the only one that came even close. After slapping this front derailleur on, it adjusted perfectly...like a match made in heaven. I highly recommend this front derailleur to anyone with a 2-ring setup, especially the Shimano SLX M665 Double crankset.
