Strengths:    Small Cheap so it keeps out of the way and if it does get smashed it wont cos much to replace

Weaknesses:    cant go into a 28 tooth cog but u never use it any way and it stops the derailer from going into the spokes

Bottom Line:
good cheap derailer that works well

can't be used with cassette > 28 teeth

Bottom Line:
good value if your into smashing rear mechs to bits frequently. intended for those f#@!$in' stupid road bike things but at home on me m 1.
only prob is that the mech can't be used if your cassette has more than 28 teeth on the biggest ring.
better idea than the short cage xtr and about one fifth of the cost.

My riding style has changed over the last few years to where I am now enjoying and spending more time on technical terrain, although I'm not terribly good at it. I am considering going from my current HH100 (RX-100) to a Motolite. The main reason for the change would be to run a 5" front fork an ... Read More »

07 Talas RLC for a RX-100?

I am curious as to whether anyone here has any experience or thoughts about running an '07 Talas RLC on a Racer X-100 (actually a HH 100). My frame size is a 23.5" TT if that matters. I am currently running a Fox 100X, which I like quite a bit, but would like the option of flipping from 100 to 1 ... Read More »

RX80 vs RX 100 new/old geometry

Does the 2003 RX have different geometries than the 2005, or the RX80 vs the 100? I ask because I was at my LBS the other day and the guy pulled down a medium and the TT length measured a lot shorter than the standard spec (like 22.8). The HT and ST measured out ok for a medium, so I started think ... Read More »

titus rx-100 vs ells truth vs turner flux vs ventana salty

I'm 44yo 5'10'' 145lb RR raced last 3 yrs (cat III) due to back surgery I'm finding mtn bike is easier on the back. I plan on racing mtn bike again (it's been 4 yrs since my last mtn bike race) and I'm currently riding Santa Cruz SL but I'm looking for a little more "plushness". I've researched the ...
