Strengths: It's strength? It's strength.Weaknesses: Not the crispest shifter, but keep your cables cleaned and lubed and you should be good.Bottom Line: This is an update of my previous review. I can't believe I've had this derailleur for two seasons, and it's taking on its third. The system works, its too bad they've discontinued it. I used to go through 2-3 derailleur hangers a year, and at least a derailleur a year. I bike in East Coast mud, rocks and roots at least 3 times a week.
I might just have to get an extra rear derailleur that will last me another 3 years when this one finally gives up the ghost.
Its a real shame Shimano isn't carrying over this product. A real shame.

Strengths: Strong: goodbye derailleur hangers!Weaknesses: Integrated system: have to buy the hub (& possibly rotors too). Not a crisp as XTR or even XT. It's a hassle if you have to take the wheel off for whatever reason...Bottom Line: As someone who seems to always bend derailleur hangers, I'm quite happy with this product. It definitely does not shift as crisply as the XTR that it replaced, but I don't care, caus' I can adjust it properly so the alignment is always perfect. This also makes up for the hassle of the derailleur and chain being loose when removing the rear wheel.
