Strengths: Durable, performs as described.Weaknesses: Somewhhat difficult to install.Bottom Line: Excellent and ingenious product. I average @10 miles a day, year round in all weather conditions over mainly city pavement and unpaved bike paths in Denver, Colorado. The Grunge Guard eliminates the need for frequent cleaning of the rear derailleur, especially in winter. I was so impressed with it, I purchased a Grunge Guard for the front derailleur as well, with the same impressive results. These boots are very light weight and neither product interferes in the least with shifting. I highly recommend the Grunge Guard to riders of all types of multi-speed bikes.

Strengths: Really stays on your derailleur. DOesnt interfere with shifting. No assembly required.Weaknesses: Plastic push pins look weak, plastic should be made abit stiffer. Looks.Bottom Line: Get it. It really keeps dirt and sand off your derailleurs. No need to disassemble and wash/lube. Looks nice.. black colour sort of "disguises" it.
