The Stylo SL and Stylo Team are completely redesigned for 2003. The Stylo crankarms are forged from AL-7050-TV alloy, which increases ISIS Drive interface and pedal thread strength. We've added new chamfering and disengagement features to all our rings for easier, chainsuck-free downshifting and improved upshifting. The Stylo SL uses cromoly crank bolts and black-anodized chainrings. ISIS Drive interface only. For cross-country use. Blast Black, Mirror Black, or Tech Polish anodized finish.

Strengths: Slightly modified it has the best gear range for multiuse bike
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
I bought this to put on the hardtail that I was using for some road work to get some top end with those excellent Conti Grand Prix tires. Then I wanted to use the bike as a ATB now and then for a quick ride into the local woods and the gearing was a little steep. Called Mike at Universal and got a 36 & 24 chain ring to solve the problem. With an XTR front deraileur it's smooth as can be with mountain bike gearing in the first 2 rings (which is all I can use in the woods anyway)and road bike gearing in the top ring. As a novelty product it fills a gap and it's excellent at it.
