Strengths: Good looking, over-built, stiff, super-affordable, nice rings, good shifting.Weaknesses: None until I heard about these guys tearing out pedal threads-that is unheard of these days even with ultra-tech carbon cranks.Bottom Line: I am 6'3", 175-180lb. Good cat 3 level rider and like to push hard. Rode this crank all last winter, probably 40-50 hours use and had zero concerns. However, riding a snow bike, mainly IN SNOW, will not put nearly the same stresses on a component like hard free-riding or XC racing. Its an AFFORDABLE crank and probably not suited to hardcore stuff.

Strengths: very strong, takes a beatingWeaknesses: heavy, three piece crank instead of a two pieceBottom Line: I have beaten this crank making 5' jumps onto concrete and these cranks are still running great. The Howitzer BB is insanely strong. great buy.

Weaknesses: I was at c.o.p. and I did a shore series and lost balance so i bailed my bike. Then i get up and check it out and start riding it and the right crank arm is bent in and the pedal insert is almost coming out. The crank arm doesn't ride anywhere near true. I wouldn't recommend this crank set if your going to try anything that has the chance of failureBottom Line: Horrible.. weak.. the pedal insert is weak.

Strengths: The shifting/changing of gears for cranks is the fastest tried vs. XT or similar productsWeaknesses: The cup on the Inner side of the bottom bracket sucks they create a play on the crank coz the cup is somewhat worn as u can see for yourself the inner side of the cup gave way..Truvativ Bad DesignBottom Line: The CUP on the Bottom Bracket Sucks !!!

Strengths: noneWeaknesses: the treading on the inside of the crank which the little silver thingy screws into always strips and the pedal falls out. you cant buy the little silver thingy as a replacement so u need a whole new cranksetBottom Line: ive had this crank set for 6 months now and the otherday my friends threading on the left crank arm broke and his pedal fell out and this happened to me today and also this other kid had the same problem and the thing is we all had stp's and the same crappy truvativ cranks. dont buy these cranks because they will break from just riding on the road, get some saint ones or something other than truvativ's.

Strengths: flex resistance, look, brand, doesnt creak, qualityWeaknesses: still lookingBottom Line: these cranks r tha bomb, and probably r bomb-proof. They resist all (as far as a human can tell) lateral flex and considering their performance, u can forgive tha weight. I would seriously reccomend these 2 anyone doing freeride, xc, downhill or UA coz they last and give confidence
Favorite Trail: that one with dirt...
