Strength:

It came stock on my GT Karakoram 3.0, cheap.

Weakness:

Bent while really digging in crossing a bridge which resulted in the chain locking up and sending me tumbling into traffic in the dark. Not optimal, but it worked fine for the first 6 months.

Strength:

cheap, heavy, crunchy

Weakness:

wont last, left arm will stretch, loosen and need replaced.
crank bolt o left side will loosen, you will overtighten and expand the hole, tighten again and loosen again resulting in afailed crank arm. this is a dead end tech, failed history and will disapear completely in a few years.

do your selfs a good thing and get rid of this crankset. dont wait.

do it now. go with a hallowtech that is easier to service and more durable.

also keep in mind that if you move to a external bb, make sure you buy angular bearings.
they will last much longer.

after i upgraded and once it was allput together, i slapped a layer of clear silicon calking all around
the bb. when i service it i just peel it off. this had completely stopped all bearing contamination.
and you cant see it at all. fantastic

Strength:

This was the default on my GT Avalanche 3.0. Nothing spectacular about it, but no major complaints after about 20 miles on it. Shifts are smooth, so no complaints there.

Weakness:

Weight. Not sure about durability yet though.

It's a fine crank for your stock bike, but I won't be buying another when I need to replace it.
