Strengths: Strong, solid, pedals really wellWeaknesses: pinch bolt design.... who decided to put threads into aluminum? I avoided this scenario by running a stainless steel helicoil into it after the holes deformed despite being properly torqued.Bottom Line: The propblem i had with these cranks was just simply some pretty odd engineering. I work in the auto industry so I've seen what happens when aluminum becomes a load bearing surface.... it just doesn't work. It all started with a 7 stair at a church that quite literally blew the pinch bolts out of their holes. I helicoiled the hole with a stainless steel option and instantly the connection was once again solid. I'd suggested this to anyone with any kind of aluminum pinch bolts; Helicoils increase strength of the threads.... any thread insert will not just helicoil. As for a value I'd say for $150 I got them at a steal, I couldn't imagine paying MSRP on these. If your a bigger guy I wouldn't recomend these due to just overall engineering flaws (I'm 300 and they just couldn't take the abuse), look into race face instead... if you are a bigger person. If your a smaller person who tends to not destroy parts a few weeks after you get them, this is right up your alley as are many other shimano products.

The finish on the crank arms is very durable, not many scratches, dings or dents. Really beefy lookingWeaknesses: Really heavyBottom Line: If toy need a crank that will last forever, give these a try. If you're counting grams look eleswhere
