Borrowing the much vaunted Hollowtech II design from the Dura Ace and XTR lines, Shimano has managed to shave 150g off the new Shimano Saint FC-M810-2 Crank arms, while increasing stiffness by 200%. Shimano designed this crankset for use with a double chain-ring and bashguard setup. The translucent bashguard features lightweight, semi-flexible resin construction that can compress and flex during impact without cracking, while still protecting the chainring.
