Favorite Trail:Skaggs - SF CA
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $618.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:Light, looks great
Weaknesses:I had a faulty one - early production unit
Graphics look cheesey - but the Y10 graphics look worse
Similar Products Used:RaceFace Duex
Bike Setup:NRS Carbon - XO, all carbon components, SL rims, Juicy Ultimates,
Bottom Line:I installed and immediately notices a knock when peddling. A slight movement when crank arm under a load. Their website never mentioned any issue so I installed a new bottom bracket and still had a knock. Took to bike shop and they replaced peddles and chain and still knock. They then removed and installed crank and still knock. Then I said that possibly the arm insert for the bottem bracket is moving and sure enough that was the problem. I called RaceFace and they agreed that the initial units were defective and would honor a replacement. The store took so long for the replacement that I eventually asked for my money back. The Y10 are out now and the graphics look so cheesey that I am not sure what I am going to do. I am waiting to see the Y10 FSA units and then make a decision as to what to buy. This was an expensive trial and error to find the problem at the bike shop over $300 fee so I am not so happy about the entire experiance.

Favorite Trail:Any
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Came with bike
Strengths:Looks cool. Lighter and stiffer than XTR.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:XTR, XT, Evolve, FSA Carbon Pro
Bike Setup:Turner Flux Pro
Bottom Line:These cranks came stock on my new Turner Flux Pro. They are killer. Bye bye XTR! They might not be cheap, but in this case, you get what you pay for.

Favorite Trail:Switchback
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $500.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Typically wonderfull shifting & wear chacteristics, light & blingy.
Weaknesses:Kinda cheesy graphics
Similar Products Used:Raceface Deus, XT, FSA
Bike Setup:'07 Element 70
Bottom Line:I have had zero issues with these cranks so it appears the new grease & seals are doing their job, they are also the typically crisp shifting and long wearing Raceface rings I love so much, they're also light & stiff and seem to be able to take a pounding.

Date Reviewed: February 4, 2009
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $775.00
Purchased At:North Shore Bike Sho
Strengths:Super light, yet stong & very stiff. They look awesome too.
Weaknesses:Expensive, but there's nothing else out there to compare them to.
Similar Products Used:Shimano XTR
Bike Setup:Cotic BFe Hardtail, Pikes, Hope, Mavic, XT
Bottom Line:These cranks are amazing... They're as stiff as anything I've ever used, but they're super light. 730g with the BB, so that's over 50g less than XTR!
I've been riding them on Vancouver's North Shore & they're holding up to the rocky trails & drop offs absolutely fine. I wouldn't run them on my DH bike, but for all mountain riding they'll be fine.
Highly recommended.

Date Reviewed: January 26, 2009
Favorite Trail:Alpes
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $550.00
Purchased At:Cycles & Nature (France 33)
Strengths:Beauty, very good shifting, strong, light
Weaknesses:After only two rides, vertical play appeared on the isis crank. After a contact with the RF warranty services, they made an exchange via the French importer Tribe Sport. In fact I bought one of the 1st prodution series with a problem of machinning on the isis left arm.

Similar Products Used:His father... Deus crankset! ;-)
Bike Setup:ASR-SL
Bottom Line:We could saw that RF has made the best crankset of their history! Perfect for xc racing use, very good shifting, amaizing rigidity, very light (728g with CK BB). Very good warranty services for my little pb.
It fits perfectly on my Yeti with a very good chainline.
