    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Strengths:Cheap
    Weaknesses:Not the stiffest cranks around
Similar Products Used:Middleburns, Profiles, FSA 3-piece
    Bike Setup:Trials. Middleburn,Hope,Brisa etc
Bottom Line:I used these for 2 years riding trials. I never had any bother with pedal threads, you just whack them up tight when first put your pedals in and try not to take them out very much. After the two years they had bent down slightly but nothing too serious and then finally the drive side snapped clean in half after bending outwards and cracking.
Tapers were still perfectly square! Don't know what everyone moans about, you just got to keep them tight. Can't go wrong for £25

    Favorite Trail:I like all trials
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $40.00
    Purchased At:Cycle world
    Strengths:Look Good (to an extent)
    Cheap - range of colours
Weaknesses:Incredibly weak and horrible to ride.
    Huge amount of flex
    Bend/snap easy
    De-threads very quickly
    No guarantee
Similar Products Used:Truvativ, race face, middleburn, XTR.
Bike Setup:Giant team trials, truvativ cranks, Ashton forks, Hs33's, megamo parts etc.
Bottom Line:I am a professional trials rider and i was extremely low on money and needed a new set of trials cranks and power pros where the cheapest "trials" option. Within a weak i had de-threated the pedal on the drive side and cranked and dented the non drive side. These felt horrible to ride although i might be doing things prehaps to extreme for the price i would expect it too cope with some abuse ( the biggest thing i did at the time i had them was 5ft drop, i didnt want to do any more as they make you hugly un-confident). Anyway dont get these, they are Seriously bad set of cranks although FSA genrally are an OK they have really let down big time with this. Go save a bit and buy better cranks please!!

    Purchased At:bikeshopsmart
Strengths:The matt black ones look pretty good and they hold up and feel quite good when using them for daily commuting and no jumps or drops. Very cheap.
Weaknesses:The cranks bend into the frame after a lot of use, the bb taper turns into a oval after a while and anything over a 6ft drop, then bend and basically snap.
Similar Products Used:Race Face North Shores, 24 seven, on-one retards.
    Bike Setup:with powerpro: coyote dh3, junior t's, hope c2's, d321 big-un.
Bottom Line:only buy if you are wanting a quick and short solution for a period between an old crank breaking and buying a better one, or for daily commuting.
In other words, avoid, unless forced to use.

    Weaknesses:None really
Similar Products Used:Ultegra and XT race sets
Bike Setup:Just the Barracuda alloy frame complimented with all the XT stuff and very specialy made 5" forks and rear suspension
Bottom Line:Although this isn't really a C/set suitable for doing 10foot drop offs, its a great chainset for the money. Look after it and it'll be ok.
Want a chainset for doing 15 foot drops -- £300 should cover it. Want a chainset for XC or enjoying ya bike, get one of these.

    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $40.00
    Purchased At:Owens Cycles (cool shop)
Strengths:Cheap and the arms are strongish
Weaknesses:Square taper BB so the cranks come off really easily and they don't line up very well so there's a lot of rubbing. I'd prefer a fit and forget sort of thing.
Similar Products Used:crappy Cyclone ones which are even worse. I'm gonna get DMR Chieftans i hope.
Bike Setup:CBR, Judys, 24Seven Bars, stem, tioga seat and 2.1s, Mavic D521 rims.
Bottom Line:I wouldn't buy them if i were you but i guess they are ok for very light dirt riding if you're prepared to have to tighten them every ride. Good for the money though as the arms are nice and fat and the integrated spider works quite well. The rings are sh|te, never ever get the rings, they bend like very weak celery or something.

Weaknesses:Not extremelt stiff, and they bent after about two months of hard riding. Oh, and the spindle hole rounded out. And yes, I kept them tight. Trust me.
    Similar Products Used:anything shimano.

    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $85.00
    Purchased At:Vic MTB Centre
    Strengths:Stiff.
    That's all....
    Weaknesses:Chainrings are crap.
Geometry seems to be strange too. I could not get a decent
    chainline. (51.5mm with 107mm BB!!!)
Similar Products Used:Truvative FireX, Shimano Deore Hollowtech, various cranks
    on older bikes.
Bike Setup:2000 Kona Cindercone (now with Deore cranks...)
Bottom Line:I have had enough of these cranks. After 1 month I could not get them to shift well. Couldn't get a decent chainline,
could only use two rings (middle + top OR middle + granny).
The cranks themseves seem fine, and relatively light and strong. But the chainrings.....either the layout of the
crank and rings is strange or the rings are just pure
    crap.
When teh crank was put on the bike I used teh existing
113mm BB. But the chainline was horrible. Even on the
Granny ring the chain was only straight around the 11T
    on the cassette!
On teh largest chainring the chain would not stay on the
ring if I shifted to even the 5th largest ring on the
    cassette...
I changed to 107 BB and got the chain line to 51.5(!)
and then could not shift between all three chainrings.

I finally had to give in and 'upgrade' to Deore Hollowtech.
The shifting is butter smooth and I can get on with riding
again without worrying about little things like
    changing gears!

Maybe it works better with 8 speed or lower, or with a
    grip shift front derailleur??

I have learned my lesson the hard/expensive way.

Having said this....anyone want to buy a (hardly) used
set of FSA Power Pro crangs + rings????

    Strengths:Cheap
    Stiff
Weaknesses:Heavy (heavier than my old cranks)
    Similar Products Used:Truvativ Firex
    Bike Setup:2000 Kona Cinder Cone
Bottom Line:I was 'forced' to buy these at Christmas to replace my
Truvativ's which were damaged beyond repair at Christmas.
It was that or go bikeless for the Christmas break!

Anyway, they work, but are noticably heavier than my
Truvativs. They shift adequately (not as well as
    my Truvativs) (and yes

I use my bike mainly for commuting to work and grab the
off-road chance when it comes. So these cranks will do
    till I break them.

Like I said in teh strengths/weakness, they seem
stiffer than the Truvativs but much heavier
(I know it's only 100g heavier but I seem to have
    noticed...or aged!)

Anyway, I only three chilli's: Average for the price...

    Weaknesses:Chainrings, flex, chainring bolt placement
    Similar Products Used:STX RC,
    Bike Setup:Giant ATX900
Bottom Line:A good crank for the money. The chainrings they come with are pus, they shift OK but after 4 months of riding they are shark teeth. Also, the cranks have flexed enough for them to rub my chainstays. But still, I am a bit of a clydsedale, 100kg (220 lb), and they haven't broken or fatigued. Compared to everything else in the price range they are a mighty good crank. So if your on a tight budget they are ideal, especially if your into XC.
