Strengths: Inexpensive, strong, reliable, no chain suck, easy to maintain. Reasonably lightweight.Weaknesses: 2x10 version doesn't fit a very small granny.Bottom Line: My Cannondale RZ 120-1 came with a 2x10 version of these, which I've used for two years. They were perfect for through-riding Kokopelli's Trail (150 miles, 17,000 vertical feet, 24 hours) twice. Never any chain suck, solid shifting, etc.
Due to the fact that the 2x10 version can only accommodate a 27-tooth granny, I moved to a 3x10 set for the Colorado Trail Race (500 miles, 70,000 vertical feet, 7 days) I replaced the big ring with a FSA bashguard, and converted them to 2x10. They worked great--no chain suck, easy shifting, etc. The conversion was easy, and FSA even threw a BB30 wrench on the box.
I think that the Afterburners are one of the best-kept secrets out there. Excellent product, at a very reasonable price.
