Strength:

Not sure...

Weakness:

Chainrings, chainrings, chainrings...

I've had no problems with the strength of the crankset itself, but the chainrings. They may as well make them out of plastic. I had to replace the big and middle WITHIN one month of riding. If I would have known they were going to be a problem I would have went with the Race Face crankset to begin with, instead of having to purchase the RF rings (which are awesome, by the way). I've been riding for over 20 years, and my old XTR crankset lasted for a long, long time, without replacing anything. When I decide to replace this crankset, XT, XTR, or Race Face. But never a Bontrager again.

They came stock on the 2006 Trek Fuel EX7 I bought.

Weakness:

Durability. They only lasted 2 seasons.

I have had this crnkset on my bike since 2006. I have replaced the middle ring and now I am replacing the crankset with Shimano.
