Shifts on demand. What more can you say about Campagnolo's greatness? It's awesome!
If you're looking for the classic group for your road bike and you are:

Campy is great. Record is superb. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Response | | Weaknesses: | Price | | Similar Products Used: | Shimano Ultegra | | Bike Setup: | Litespeed Ultimate | | Bottom Line: | The Record Group is the best group money can buy. My setup is a 1996 model that I bought used, otherwise this would have been well out of my price range. However, the quality and shift response difference between my bike setup with Campy Record and my other bike with Shimano Ultegra (granted, not their top of the line) is phenomenal. For instance, the Record hubs have grease ports where you can inject grease from the middle of the hub (halfway between the two skewer ends). Grease goes in there, pushing any grit out at the outsides of the hub. The finish is fantastic, and you barely need to think about shifting and you have already made the transition. The Ultegra setup on my other bike is none of these. | Overall Rating: |
