Strengths:    uh... oh yeah, it was really cheap.

Weaknesses:    everything other than price

Bottom Line:
i bought it 'cause it was in stock at my lbs. had to buy a new one a few months later. bought a shimano this time(my strong-arm crank doesn't deserve better), the same one that i have on my '94 trek with about 10000 miles on it. the teeth look like pins but it still works flawlessly. the new one shifts MUCH better than the sugino too. these are real pieces, don't buy them.

Strengths:    Light

Weaknesses:    Soft, thin aluminum feels and wears like its made of tin foil

Bottom Line:
These rings came stock on my bike and I wore out the middle and large chainrings within 3months. I replaced my whole drivetrain with a new set and the big ring bent after going over one teeny little log. These things might as well be plastic.

Strengths:
Nothing

Weaknesses:
Very weak construction.
They bend.
Teeth break and bend too easy.
Caused chain suck everytime.

Bottom Line:
In one week I had bent to big ring and knocked 2 teeth off. The middle ring caused chain suck from day one and I just kept bending the teeth on these rings. Caused a broken chain in 2 races. Crap Crap Crap

Strengths:
inner rings

Weaknesses:
outer ring specifically

Bottom Line:
I'll give it 3 cause I was able to bend it back successfully. And to be fair, the 4-arm spider wasn't helping any.

Strengths:
That is the weakness

Weaknesses:
The strength

Bottom Line:
The outer Sugino CXP ring bent after 2-weeks of normal riding and occasional contact with objects ( ie rocks). The alloy is way to soft in my opinion. It just doesn't hold up. The middle ring, on the other hand, is heavy steel, and doesn't need to be as strong as the outer ring anyway, since it will never kiss a rock. Replace them when you can, except the inner ring, that one's OK.

Looks nice and smooth, shifting is overall good

Weaknesses:
Metal is to soft, bends easy

Bottom Line:
Tooth are bending very easy. Not from rocks but just while biking. To soft, waist of $$
NOT FOR THE SERIOUS BIKER

Bottom Line:
The middle chainring (32) was bent from the start and eventually lost one tooth. Shifts ok one it's straight but it's not like a good xt .
