Strengths:    great shifting, less chain suck, light, 7075 zicral alloy.

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
I put a 4 arm middle ring on my raceface crank, best chain ring I have used, it shifts as well as the shimano's rings but are more solid, 7075 zicral is stiffer than LX/XT alloy and it is far less expensive than XTR. shifting ramps are well designed. my old race face prodigy chainring was really weak in comparison, lot of chain sucks, weak alloy, 3 broken teeth after 800 km, shifts like sh*t.

Strengths:
great shifts
easy to clean finish
hard surface

Weaknesses:
a bit sharp tooths

Bottom Line:
Thise rings are great, dispite my getting ripped a bit open in a crash, because the tooths are a bit sharp. The material is very hard, so you don't get these scratches on them, and they are very easy to clean for wasted oil. The only thing is, that you can only get them in silver finish.

Chainguide/Tensioner recommendations for a double chainring with bashguard?

Ok, so I just purchased a 2014 Kona Process 153DL and love it but the chain will slip off or drop to the small ring quite often when taking any sort of hit. It is stock right now with a XO clutch rear mech, 22/36/Bashguard set up. Can I just get a tensioner and keep current bashguard or should it ... Read More »

Chainring for E*Thirteen 1x11 on Ripley

Just picked up a Ripley with a X01 kit which came with an E*Thirteen crank and 32T chainring. I'd much prefer a 30T chainring (lots of climbing here in the Colorado front range) and my LBS offered to swap it out, except that apparently E*Thirteen is out of 30T rings and has no idea when they're go ... XT 785 Crankset w/ 32T Chainring rubbing.

anyone have any experience with this setup? it's a Shimano XT M785 10 Speed Double Crankset with a 32T Blackspire Ring. it looks like the chain just slightly rubs on the spider (104b) of the crank. could probably get away with it, as it looks like the chain is completed seated....but it'll de ... Replace chainring and cassette?

I currently have a 2x up front on my bike and for the riding here prefer it over a single ring. My big rings teeth are very worn down and have recently slipped off it a few times and been hard to shift into it. My cassette is a little worn but nothing like my chainring. If I replace my big ring ... Read More »
