Weaknesses: None really. I don't think the spline interface will work with any cranks other than Middleburn, but that really isn't a weakness.
Bottom Line:
I have been using Middleburn cranks and rings on my singlespeeds for over 5 years and have been very pleased with the Hardcoat rings. They wear extremely well and are nice and stiff. As far as I know, the rings will not work with any cranks other than Middleburn, so be sure to do your homework before ordering them if you want to use them on any other brand of cranks.
