I pretty much only use the middle ring, but found a great deal on a whole set for basically the price of the large ring. Could not pass it up.
The difference was immediately noticed, and fantastic. I have not had the amount of time to give these a thorough beating to see how they hold up in the long run, so if there are problems with them I will let you know. Right now, however, there is nothing that I would rather have- and one of my favorite upgrades.

I had a full set of CD rings with my RS7's and from the start under power changes from the middle to the granny caused annoying chainsuck. Only way to stop was to take off all power - not very well suited to my style of attacking the steeps in the middle ring.
I changed the granny to a steel thing but it still happened. Checked the rings and found that the middle was the cause - chips in the ring were grabbing the ring. Taking a file to it would cure it for a while but it still returned.
Rang middleburn - asked me what frame I was using - I said DNA and straight away they confirmed that other DNA owners had suffered the same problems. The chainstay joins the BB low and this seems to produce chainsuck.
Upgraded for a smaller amount to the DUO upgrade of 29/42 tooth rings and haven't had a problem since.
Giant ATX990 owners had the same problems.
I'll review the DUO upgrade later but - an average three for overall, four for value cos there is still loads of life left in the other rings. | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |
