Date Reviewed: May 10, 2002

Strengths:    Strong, The star-punched pins have not failed me. Michigan springs and winters can trash a drivetrain.
Like the master link.

Weaknesses:    Master link not reusable. At least in theory

Bottom Line:
Has not let me down like Shimano (with same mileage and care). Use w/ Pro-link chain lube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strengths:
VERY VERY VERY strong

Weaknesses:
too strong!

Bottom Line:
this chain is really really strong, too strong, because it does not flex and makes shifting a little trickey, and it wears away at your drive train.
great quality, but a little heavey
very overbuilt.
i use a 8 speed drive train, so im not sure how the 9 speed chain is.

So what are the most extreme conditions you rode in? For me on mtb, it was likely 104 with high humidity. I ... Read More »

For parts, I have a White Industries ENO eccentric rear wheel (flip flop). A brand new CDX center track 60t ring that I got for dirty cheap off of eBay (99 cents to ... Read More »

Living X - Living Extreme Mountain Bikes - Anyone know anything about them?

I stumbled on a 19.5 inch in what seems to be their team issue last night on Craigslist. It is too big for me so I won't be riding the frame (have a buddy it will fit if he wants it) but the Ti Manitou and the seemingly never pedaled XTR were just too hard to pass up and I was able to get it for a ...
