I went through two PC-XX1 chains, since going 11-speed. This time, my mechanic recommended the slightly heavier and beefier X01 PC-1070 Hollowpin chain. The first two barely lasted 1800 miles, before showing signs of degraded performance and wear. I don't know why - but the X01 chain feels and performs AS GOOD or BETTER than the pricier XX1 on all levels. Even running the Absolute Black narrow-wide oval 32t ring - the chain refuses to jump ship, on rough, choppy trail rides.
As of this writing, I am going on 3100 miles and the chain still runs like new. Amazing how much better more material equals a superior product!
