Strengths:
Well its better than nothing, it seems to work pretty well despite the simple design
Weaknesses:
Over the course of 15 shuttle runs it dropped the chain once, then i had the chain shortened 4 inches and hasnt dropped since then. Design does not allow for some frames to set up properly (my bighit spec cant fit it well, the top roller doesnt fit due to the guides arms being too long. No bearings. Noisy but some people like the noise, I do.
Bottom Line:
This is cheap.. A box guide is better.. THis works well if your bike frame desgin is properly compatible and its setup right. When setup do not put the top roller down putting presure on the chain, this results in alot of drag and the roller wears out, it should sit only just touching in the biggest rear cog,is you can sit it in the 12 o'clock position over the chain ring and down quite tight over the ring (only just touching), this way the chain cant escape, my frame however wouldnt let the guides arm move up into the 12 o'clock position, I may cut the arm yet to try to adjust it better

Well i dont really know yet, so far it seems to hold the chain a bit better, i have only ridden it for 1 hour though :D
Weaknesses:
Hmmm, it does make vibration noises and has no bearing. The noises i can ber with in fact I quite like the vibrating noise, its quite rythemic and make you feel your not alone on the trail....

Well i only ridden it for the past hour, seem quite good but will post again after the few hours of DH im riding this weekend in Wellington, New Zealnd. I give it average 3's as I havent yet ridden it that much.

Bottom Line:
I just bought this chainguide for a few days use at the sea otter classic, maybe an occasional ride afterwards. The screws holding it to my BB shell came out and the guide twisted, loosening my bb, so it keep getting out of adjustment and locking up my bike. It caused me to loose my registration fee for my DS race because it locked u twice in my DS qualifying, making me DNF and miss the cut. It causes the chain to come off. It is a very poor design I believe, and simple design changes could have fixed it. Dont buy it, dont rely on it if you have one. Save up and buy a gamut, that'll be my next guide.

Cheap, and keeps the chain on when set up correctly.. my chain used to fall off with it, but i fixed the rollers and its fine now... but its inexpensive if you really want a namebrand chainguide thatll work well!
Weaknesses:
hard to tighten in the bottom bracket, which can result in it rotating in the bottom bracket if u hit a log or rock or something, but wont happen too often

Very Noisy...Sounds like a motor bike...

Bottom Line:
If you are having trouble with this device then you havent got it set up correctly. When I first got my bike the chain kept jumping off and was very anoying. I spent some time setting it up and no way the chain is going to come off. For all people that didnt get it to work, the arms adjust and the wheels up and down the arms. Yeh it is lound but it only cheap and it does the job, might look at putting some soft rubber wheels on see if that helps.

Strengths:
AFFORDABLE, lighter weight than other chain guides.
Weaknesses:
Difficult to set up properly. Wont fit on some frames b/c the things that hold the rollers on are so long. Which, also causes the rollers to fall out of adjustment and loosen sometimes when you hit rocks/logs.

For the college student or rider on a budget. If you can afford spending six times as much on an MRP chain guide, go for it. I think the reason this product is getting bashed so hard is b/c you kids aren't setting it up properly. It's really not that bad of a product. Bottom Line: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
