Favorite Trail:Mine
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $150.00
Purchased At:Momentum
Strengths:Great chain retention, I liek how the bash covers the lower roller, light, just a plain good product Sheds mud well
Weaknesses:Noen to date and I've put mine through loads already!
Similar Products Used:LG1
Bike Setup:2005 BigHit, Holzfeller crank/bars, Formula The one brakes, 888RC2X VA, Rocco WC push'd, MRP G2, MTX wheels, Straitline pedals, E13 guide ring, Odi grips
Bottom Line:I've pretty mush put this guide through everything possible, Ive crashed, ridden on fast pedally courses btu also extremely tech courses, in the mud and overall it just blew my expectations away. I much prefer this guide to the LG!.

best feature is the bash guard that covers the lower pulley!
Best direct mount guide on the market

Favorite Trail:Dirt Merchant Whistler
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $125.00
Purchased At:Universal Cycles
Strengths:Light weight
Keeps the chain on the ring
Weaknesses:Loud. Getting a lot of chain slap on the derailleur style guide
Similar Products Used:e.13 DRS, Blackspire DS-1
Bike Setup:'04 demo 9 DH, 888rc w/direct mount, DHX 5.0 w/ ti spring, syncros rims, hope proII hubs, maxxis minions, dmr pedals, easton ea70 handlebars, thomson seatpost, x.9 shifter & RD
Bottom Line:Overall a great guide. It's light weight and keeps the chain on the ring. I haven't lost a chain yet. My only complaint is the chain slap on the derailleur style upper guide. It's incredibly annoying and loud. I'm going to look at either putting some noise reducing material on the guide or retro fitting a guide pulley to increase the tension on the chain and keep it from flopping around.

Granted, the chain slap could be a result of the frame design.
