Strengths:    When installed on my 24-gear touringbike, it reduced the chainslack and noice by more than 50%. Although some whipping of the chain still remained, it was a marked improvement.

Weaknesses:    The chainwheel came off, after only two weeks of light riding! Since it has completelly disappeared, I now have to search for a replacement in Pattaya. Luckily, the basic mechanism is unhurt and in place, but it is very disappointing, indeed.

Bottom Line:
Unfortunatelly, however good this idea actually is, and works, it sucks in endurance. The basic mechanism seems OK, but what to do when the chainwheel drops off after only a couple of weeks of light riding? If you buy it, see to that the bolt and nut holding the small chainwheel is of the locking type.

Bottom Line:

This thing mounts under the chainstay with a pulley system to keep the chain tought and so far so
good. The pulley although of cheasy quality it flowts
considerably side to side and the pulley is free to move around to compensate
for the chain movement you get when you shift.Anyways chain suck and slap
is pretty much eliminated and the thing is all resin or plastic so is pretty
light and hasn't cracked after a few crashes.Over all good product.
