I am actually reviewing the "dual ring" version of this product. It works fine and for the money this is well worth it. However watch out for hidden costs... It's probably available at any LBS in North America, I had to order it from Britain. This added $20 to the price. Then I had to buy a bb tool and a crank puller, there goes another $45. But I should have expected that. Warning: this product doesn't work with Giant STP, Specialized P3 or any DS bike with a pivot right above the bottom bracket. But for me it's perfect.

Simple, easy to set up, not much to go wrong
Weaknesses:
Flimsy arm, bit nosiey with the jockey wheel rather than a roller, can sometimes get clogged up with mud if you run big tyres.
I bought this a couple of years ago when I was still at school and poor, there was no way I could afford something like an MRP or Roox so this and the chain cage were my only option. When I first got it I thought it looked a bit cheap and not really up to the job, but to be honest it does what its meant to do and hasn't really let me down under normal conditions. As I said above though its a bit flimsy so can bend out of place easily (not a real problem though, you just bend it back!). It can also collect mud from the rear tyre if its a bit gloopy on the trails seeing as it sits quite close to the corner tread. Overall not great but what do you expect for £15? Now I can afford something better Im upgrading to a Blackspire, but for the money I couldn't really complain about it.

Broadribbs (this is actually a review of the DMR Tension seeker, it wasn't listed so i put it here)
Strengths:
Can tension up or tension down Reliable Easy to adjust once its fitted on

Hard to fit on I had to take off my single freewheel and put my multiple back on and just use the 17t cog because the pulley bolt wasn't long enough and it wouldn't reach my freewheel. The tensioning screw seems of poor quality - it rounded off using a cross head screwdriver (as the instuctions suggested) very quickly
It took me 2 hours to fit on my bike and even then the pulley wouldn't reach the freewheel so i had to change to a 7 speed sprocket (i suspect i need a proper singlespeed hub actually). It works really well now however, and it is very easy to set up. I prefer tensioning it downwards to prevent the very occasional chainslap i get from landing hard (often from an overshoot) when i have it tensioning up. Overall, if you're patient fixing it on and you have a proper singlespeed hub, i'd say this is an excellent alternative to a bottom bracket mounted chain device. Its also a fair bit cheaper. A good choice for dirt jumpers who like to throw their bike around a bit.
