Date Reviewed: June 10, 2003

Strengths:    Non really, it fits a bmx BB

Weaknesses:    The chain will not stay on no matter what you do unless you run single speed!!

Bottom Line:
It's an old school design. I bought it cos I needed a device for my Pornking and 24bikes was the only company making BMX Bottom Bracket chain devices at the time. Now DMR make one I advise everyone to but one of those because you'll be wasting you cash on this. I hate this device not because it doesn't work too good, but it also cost me a chance of winning a bloody race.

inexpensive chainguide/bashguard combo recommendations?

I'm looking for something like the MRP AMg, but it's bloody expensive. I only ride XC and will be putting this on a hardtail. After riding for a year on a 1x10 with a RF Narrow-wide ring + Zee RD I finally managed to drop my chain--twice. Granted it was the muddiest ride I've ridden to date. So I'm ... Read More »

Chainguide/Tensioner recommendations for a double chainring with bashguard?

Ok, so I just purchased a 2014 Kona Process 153DL and love it but the chain will slip off or drop to the small ring quite often when taking any sort of hit. It is stock right now with a XO clutch rear mech, 22/36/Bashguard set up. Can I just get a tensioner and keep current bashguard or should it ... Read More »

press fit 92 bottom brackets with chainguide?

Having issues with my narrow wide and xtr clutched der. it's fine for normal trail riding and I normally never have an issue. But seems like it's not reliable enough for racing. Dropped chains and too much chain slap while enduro racing. Been thinking about a top guide that mounts to the direct ... Read More »
