Strengths:    NONE! this product is trash.

Weaknesses:    very thin metal used. The splined groves on the cog are NOT precise thus will not fit a NEW xtr cassette body. This is the cheapest cog I've seen. No quality control for this product....... its TRASH

Bottom Line:
If you want a quality product, spend the extra cash and get a surly or chris King cog.

CK singlespeed cog chewing into ZTR freehub - dangerous?

I recently finished a singlespeed build using Stan's ZTR hubs (non-singlespeed freehub). My cog is a stainless steel 18t from Chris King. When first built up, the cog position on the freehub was slightly off the chainline. Before fixing this, I gave the bike a test ride and heard a few "clunk" n ... Read More »

rear cog for DT240s singlespeed hub

Just got my DT 240s hubs in yesterday and when I tried on the several Chris King cogs I have, they all had a noticeable amount of slop I don't have with my King hubs. Seems the splines are just a hair larger on the King hubs. I realize that with the cog mounted and the lock ring properly torqued, ... Read More »
