Date Reviewed: March 12, 2010

Strengths:    NONE! this product is trash.

Weaknesses:    very thin metal used. The splined groves on the cog are NOT precise thus will not fit a NEW xtr cassette body. This is the cheapest cog I've seen. No quality control for this product....... its TRASH

Bottom Line:
If you want a quality product, spend the extra cash and get a surly or chris King cog.

Titanium Singlespeed Fixed ISO Cog

West Coast Ridin'! Boone titanium, rarer than a flying unicorn. :eekster: I'm conflicted, may just have to build a bike completely around this cog - argh, there goes my rule of two bikes in the quiver, max. CK singlespeed cog chewing into ZTR freehub - dangerous?

I recently finished a singlespeed build using Stan's ZTR hubs (non-singlespeed freehub). My cog is a stainless steel 18t from Chris King. When first built up, the cog position on the freehub was slightly off the chainline. Before fixing this, I gave the bike a test ride and heard a few "clunk" n ... Read More »
