Bottom Line: Awesome!! You'd think that the bottom line of shimano would be complete bull sh*t but wow, best 8 Spd cassette ever made. Compared to the Sram PG850. This one works spectacular

Strengths: This review is for the 13-30, 7-speed HG-50: It works fine. I find 7 speed has plenty o' gearing for me.
I suppose made in Japan counts as a positive.Weaknesses: no probs so far...Bottom Line: For 25 bucks installed I'm happy. 13-30 is a good all 'round range for xc.
