Favorite Trail:Mice
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $80.00
Purchased At:MEC
Strengths:Solid grip, platform/clip combo, takes a beating
Weaknesses:none other than will destroy your shin if it slips.
Similar Products Used:first clip-less
Bike Setup:Jamis Dakar XCR
Bottom Line:Very limited experience with pedals, went from plastic flats to these. I bought them because I sometimes have to bike in my work boots and I wanted the option of a platform. This pedal is perfect. The platform side really digs in (almost to the point of cutting soft soled shoes) and the clips hold tight. No problems getting in or out (after the first few days) and they can certainly take a pounding. I've driven them into rocks and clipped trees, these will take it.
Buying a pair for my wife right now.

Date Reviewed: December 2, 2008
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $75.00
Purchased At:santa cruz
Strengths:Dual sided
Weaknesses:Bearings created a clanking sound, evolved to a knocking, then pedal had a jerking rough spot on each revolution of the crank. Very disappointed!!!! Replaced after 6 months
Bike Setup:Specialized road
Bottom Line:Do not buy! Bearing should not give out.
