Duration Product Used:

Strengths:
The RPM stem is a perfectly manufactured CNC-stem. It's finish is excellent, it's stiffness is great. It's not the lightest (215gr=135mm/0°), but it is very durable and solid. It offers a very secure three bolt clamp on the fork tube and a four bolt clamp to fix the handle bar. The RPM logo is lazered. Although it's a massive Al-stem with high stiffness the clamp height is low. The steering precision is very excact. It's avaible in four eloxal colours (polish, black, red, blue) three rises (0°/7°/15°)and three lenghts ( 90/120/135).
Weaknesses:
It's not avaible in the US....
Similar Products Used:
I tried a syncros hinged stem and a Moots Ti stem. Both stems were flexy in comparison to the RPM. The syncros stem is heavier than the RPM and it's finish is not so beautiful. The Moots stem is a lightweight beautiful XC stem with some weaknesses (look at my review).
Bike Setup:
RPM stem with Schmolke Karacho composite handle bar.
Bottom Line:The RPM stem is a stiff, superb finished stem, which offers very secure clamps. It's durable and lighweight. It's a beautiful piece of german workmanship. It looks very technical. I like it,so I give 5 stars.
Overall Rating:5
