Strengths:    5mm hex bolts.

Weaknesses:    Metal used is a tad soft, it's a big time chore to install and uninstall it onto a steerer tube. Creaks when under load and can't get it to stop unless you change out stem.

Bottom Line:   
This stem is a major disappointment. If it didn't creak and wasn't a major pain to install and uninstall, I would be content with it.

Was getting a ton of creaking and have checked the frame all over multiple times to check for cracks even had other people look it over and no one can find a crack and the only place I could think of would have been the headset or the stem, checked the headset and no issues there. Put the FSA Stem on it and no more creaking. Spent a good chunk of money on this, was expecting higher quality than what was gotten.

Strengths:    none, only the brand´s high reputation

Weaknesses:    the gap of the steerer clamp is way too narrow even that the material is getting deformed after about three mounting processes, the torque value of 11-12 ft./lbs seems to be far too high for the material!
the race face guys do not seem to calculate anything out, neither the measures nor the value
the price is insane for the low quality

Bottom Line:   
better purchase a forged stem like Truvativ Holzfeller, have no trouble and save lots of bucks!
In Germany the distributor does not care about the customer´s troubles having with the overrated Race Face Parts, so there´s no reason left to pay so much for them.
The only parts that seem to work well are the handlebars.

Strengths:    Super thick--sleek. Can't imagine them breaking. New design is tits!

Weaknesses:    Like my morphine--none.

Bottom Line:   
Had it for a few weeks. It's so thick that I can't possibly imagine any faults. Thick as a brick and twice as pretty. I wouldn't upgrade from the original diabolus id you don't need to...but damn it looks good!
